Sitting in the eastern suburbs’ most desirable location, Mira is home to just 14 residences spanning three storeys. Expertly designed by renowned names in property design – PBD Architects, Lawless & Meyerson Interiors, and Myles Baldwin Landscaping, Mira’s apartments beautifully fuse Japanese and European aesthetics to create a tranquil haven of privacy and luxury.

Its location, however, is an obvious stand-out. Mira is just a stone’s throw from Double Bay’s renowned dining and high-end fashion scene while conveniently close to the Sydney CBD. What’s more, it is just five minutes away from the famous Bondi Beach.

“Mira offers the best of both worlds – peaceful surrounds coupled with easy access to all that the harbour city has to offer,” said Amanda Panetta, Head of Sales & Marketing at Clutch.

“Buyers can expect to step out their front door and embrace all the lifestyle attractions the neighbourhood has to offer, from harbourside walks and ocean swims to sailing and paddle boarding.

“Walk around the corner and play a round at the prestigious Royal Sydney Golf Club.

High-end homes for a high-end address

Echoing its prestigious location, Mira’s residences are designed to a high calibre, both in aesthetic and quality. Paul Buljevic, Founder and Managing Director of PBD Architects, captures Mira’s design ethos perfectly, saying, “Sculptural forms playfully terrace across the site, with a balance of carefully configured apartments capturing views, drawing in natural light, and enjoying exceptional amenity.”

Soft curves and clean lines give Mira’s facade character. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows bring abundant natural light into spacious interiors while displaying surrounding greenery.

These oversized apartment floorplans boast stone kitchens with butler’s pantries, quality appliances from Gaggenau, integrated fridges and dishwasher, double vanities and free-standing bathtubs in ensuites, large outdoor garden spaces for the ground-floor units, and oversized balconies for the elevated residences.

“Mira offers ‘rightsizers’ the opportunity to move into an apartment without compromising on the amenity and luxuries they are used to having in their homes,” said Amanda.

Bradmill Yarraville

Live within the Bradmill Denim Factory site

Living close to an iconic Australian landmark is one thing, but to live in one is an opportunity rare to come by.

Frasers Property is reimagining the historic Bradmill Denim Factory into an amenity-rich neighbourhood with apartments and townhomes, combining community amenities, dining, and retail.

But what drew them to this dormant site to build a residential development?

“The Bradmill site’s location was key to our decision to develop here, as Yarraville is an enviable suburb with an established community that has a distinct village feel,” said Theo Della Bosca, Development Director of Frasers Property Australia.

“The size of the project was another factor in our decision, as it’s spread across 26 hectares, which gives us a canvas to provide a comprehensive mix of residential, hospitality, and retail offerings.

“It’s also incredibly unique to be able to retain such an iconic building in Melbourne’s industrial history.

“We’re giving Bradmill a new life while retaining its identity.”

A historic address with modern living spaces

Preserving its historic character, Bradmill Yarraville will retain the site’s key heritage buildings and convert several of them into amenities for future residents to enjoy.

“We’re collaborating with highly regarded design, landscape, and architecture firms to ensure the iconic buildings remain a beacon of the inner west, allowing for future purchasers to truly call this historic site home,” Theo explained to AD.

“Bradmill’s heritage and history will be celebrated by converting the Boiler House for a residents’ lounge, co-working space, flexible media room, and function space.

“Its architecture retains important heritage elements, notably the building’s coal chutes from the ceilings to create a dramatic aesthetic impact and add to a sense of history for the workspaces below.

“Similarly, the Proofing Building will be adapted as a gym, yoga studio, half-court basketball court, and an indoor pool with courtyards throughout.

“We’re also looking at artwork designed with the factory’s current aesthetic specifically in mind for the benefit of the wider community.”

A welcome addition to the Yarraville community

Frasers underwent a very complicated process to acquire the Bradmill site due to its scale, the heritage buildings on site, coordination with authority approvals and negotiations, and more. Once they did acquire the site, the project team expertly curated the precinct to add further value to the Yarraville community while respectfully honouring the site’s history.

“We’ve had contact with numerous former factory workers, which has included many locals and their families, so we’re aware of the significance of Bradmill to the Yarraville community and hence the importance of maintaining and activating this slice of local history,” said Theo.

“The feedback we’ve been getting has been positive regarding giving new life to what’s been a dormant site for such a long time.

“We’ll be able to provide value to the broader Yarraville community through additional park space and retail offerings in the development.

“Additionally, we’ll be partnering with local community groups throughout the development, which is important for us in building a sense of community for our future residents.”
